Vegetarian Food for Healthy Kids: Over 100 Quick and Easy Nutrient Packed Recipes I'll admit -- I don't have children; I just wanted to read this book because I have the culinary tastes of a picky 7 year old who only wants chicken fingers, but I also don't want to destroy my body in pursuit of fried deliciousness.

Vegetarian Food for Healthy Kids was full of good ideas for healthy food with a bit of fun. Sure, many recipes call for things such as "nutritional yeast flakes," but that's okay, because there's also recipes for pizza and tacos.

Casual chefs like myself may be intimidated by some of the recipes; however, some are easy enough that you can just hand the book to your child and let them handle it.

Beyond its target audience of vegetarian families with children, I'd recommend this for life-long meat eaters interested in becoming vegetarian or cutting down on their meat intake.
