The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World by Shannon Hale

Doreen Green is my new favorite.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World Squirrel Girl is incredibly lovable and lively, and all readers will want to be her sidekick. The plot wasn't too predictable; I didn't know the villain's identity until it was revealed. Doreen's attempts to maintain her regular 14 year-old life amidst crime fighting and baby saving is entertaining, and her growing friendships are heartwarming.

My only criticism is that it seemed to go a little long, and I had to fight the urge to skim-read. I don't know if many children will have the patience to read word-for-word.

I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
