Noah Webster's Fighting Words by Tracy Maurer

this history buff is pleased.

Noah Webster's Fighting Words This book was a real treat to read, for a history and grammar nerd such as myself. Told in conversational tone, Noah Webster's Fighting Words introduces Webster's life and his passion for American English. Children who are practicing spelling at school will be entertained by the evolutionary nature of language, including Webster's attempts to change "is" to "iz." Highly recommended for independent reading or use in classrooms and library programming.

I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
