I loved this book so.

That being said, it is much darker than book one, where almost everyone was happy because they had no choice otherwise. People are terribly complex, and a little frightening in groups.

Now that they have the choice, some people react poorly, to say the least. Suddenly their world can be very cold and cruel.

I loved the progression of the characters and seeing how the men react to their new thought processes. I loved Ailill and Noll, and I am crossing my fingers for a satisfying HEA in book 3.
